At Kathryn Anthony Optometry we believe young eyes need special care and that regular comprehensive eye examinations are important to ensure your child can see properly and to prevent unnecessary problems arising.
It is widely recognised that without good vision, children can experience enormous developmental setbacks that could easily be avoided with simple eye examinations. It is easy to assume that your child can see properly but this isn’t always the case.
We want your child to feel relaxed and comfortable while having their eyes examined, and our optometrists go out of their way to make their experience as much fun as possible. Early diagnosis of problems can lead to more effective treatment and can prevent permanent disabilities.
We recommend children have a comprehensive eye examination at least every two years and there is no reason not to as it won’t cost you a penny…
Children’s eye examinations are free on the NHS up to the age of 16, or 19 if they are in full time education. If following the eye examination they require a correction you will be entitled to an NHS voucher towards the cost of your children’s glasses or contact lenses.
Call now to book an appointment – it’s never too early to start caring for you child’s eyes.
